The Lonely Clouds - Mersea Island
The day before the snow arrived in 2021, the sun was shining down and it was truly warm...like a late summer's day.  I strolled out to the beach and it was low tide time, no breeze to speak of and the ocean was all but flat.
I walked out to where the tide had retreated to, over the shingle and the mud, to set up my tripod and camera pointing out to sea.  Just a handful of clouds tracked from right to left acros the sky, reflecting slightly in the calm sea.
I chose to try a long exposure photograph, using a raymasters neutral density filter. This allowed me to block out much the bright light and set my exposure time to just long enough to smooth out the sea and capture a little motion in the clouds passing by.  I'm very happy with the result!
