East Mersea Crystal Sunset
An alternative take on an East Mersea sunset using a crystal ball.
It's far from new or original but always fun to try shots with one of these relatively cheap accessories, you just have to play around with where you place it rather than simply holding it in front of a scene.  This nook in a fallen tree was ideal to rest the crystal ball in.  Soft enough not to damage the smooth finish on the ball but sturdy enough to hold it steady.
Finally, I flipped the image so that the inverted view through the crystal ball appears the correct way up, so that it was easy to view the focal point of the composition.
